I was amazed at the way Jesus related to people, particularly the way He saved a woman caught in adultery from being killed by a mob.

As I went through the doors I felt this incredible peace fall on me and a silent whisper in my left ear that simply said, ‘You’re home.’

My horoscope said that I would have a 25-year life span. But I am 58 now and I know that knowing Jesus has made a difference. I believe that He alone has the power to rewrite my destiny.

"Finally, when my sister died, I felt ashamed that I was alive while everyone else was dying. I ran away from home with every intention of committing suicide. But I couldn’t follow through with it, because I didn’t have the answer to my biggest question."

I had no choice but to seek God’s forgiveness through Jesus Christ. I remember crying like a child as I experienced His love and holiness.

But one caught our attention. One who wanted a relationship with us and reached out to us. He came to the earth as a human, and conquered a painful death on a cross. He has chosen us to be His and loves us unconditionally.

I had hoped that becoming a successful sportsman, musician or entertainer would make me happy. They did. But they couldn’t keep me happy.

For the first time in my life, I felt wanted without qualification and accepted without reservation.
