But one caught our attention. One who wanted a relationship with us and reached out to us. He came to the earth as a human, and conquered a painful death on a cross. He has chosen us to be His and loves us unconditionally.

I had hoped that becoming a successful sportsman, musician or entertainer would make me happy. They did. But they couldn’t keep me happy.

For the first time in my life, I felt wanted without qualification and accepted without reservation.

Jesus cares for our hearts, our whole hearts, our broken hearts, and everything in between. You do not have to lean on yourself on your hardest days, nor do you have to mend your own heart.

I was devastated. I cried to God saying, “You didn’t honour her faith. You gave me false hope that she would be healed.” I had every reason to stop believing in Christ.

Do you know Christ or do you know about Christ? Though initially both sounded similar, I slowly started to realize the stark difference.

The Lord who has promised to care for widows and orphans, was faithful to His promise in His Word.
